On episode #42 of The Vine, PMP welcomes Daniel Simmonds, the Founder and Co-owner of Georgetown Hemp, a wholesaler and retailer of certified hemp raw materials and retail products. Daniel has a deep knowledge of the cannabis plant, and gives us insight into how the hemp market is evolving.
There is still a great deal of confusion about CBD and its derivatives like Delta 8 in this largely unregulated market. According to a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association & reported by CNN; only 30.95% of CBD products sold are labeled accurately. That means 2/3rds of cannabis products sold by licensed establishments were labeled incorrectly. In this episode of The Vine, Daniel dives into how Delta 8 is made and why third party lab testing is so important.
Like many plant medicine advocates, Daniel found healing through cannabis and is dedicated to studying and understanding the science gathered from peer reviewed medical publications, studies sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (N.I.H.), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the MAYO Clinic.
