The Vine featuring Americans for Safe Access
By: Elizabeth Sheldon
Friday, March 4th
Episode #62 of The Vine features Debbie Churgai, Executive Director of Americans for Safe Access. We discuss the recently published State of the States report that gives an in-depth analysis of medical cannabis programs in every state. This year marks the 20th anniversary of ASA’s role in the fight for safe medical cannabis access!
ASA's State of the States report is a comprehensive document that provides a detailed analysis of medical cannabis programs in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and four U.S. territories on an ‘A’ to ‘F’ scale. The criteria for this report include patient access, affordability, equity, product safety, and so much more.
As Debbie mentions in the episode, the work is far from over. Adult use and federal legalization present a whole new set of issues that need to be well thought out to protect our medical cannabis programs. You can help the effort by becoming an ASA member. Yearly membership is only $35 and helps manage the programs and projects of this amazing organization on the frontline of the medical cannabis movement.
