After the exciting news that New Jersey moved to an adult use market (read more in Politico), New York, the nation's financial hub, has followed suit and further caused a ripple effect along the East Coast. 

Thanks to Marijuana Moment for summarizing the main components of the legalization bill (read the details here). Adults 21 and older would be able to possess and purchase cannabis products from licensed retailers sometime in 2022.

My home state of Maryland missed the opportunity to legalize this session, and Gina's home state of Pennsylvania has a bipartisan legalization bill that we are keeping a close eye on. 

Ganjapreneur reported that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) told reporters this week legislation to end the federal prohibition of cannabis is coming soon. This is an exciting time in American history, and we will continue to report on the news as it unfolds.
