Luxury Meets Cannabis 2020

PMP was grateful to be invited by our friends from Love+Hemp to the Luxury Meets Cannabis 2020 that took place virtually on September 15th and 16th. The event hosted a smart group of brands creating luxury products. The digital platform featured fabulous speakers, panel discussions, and the opportunity for one-on-one networking.
The connections were amazing! When I participated in the networking platform, I met Tai Beauchamp with Brown Girl Jane. We both have worked with fashion photographer Ruven Afanador (he takes cover shots for O Magazine). The Founders of Brown Girl Jame were featured on the panel “Business, Beauty, Blackness-Building the Next Great Luxury Wellness & Beauty Brand,” and we were blown away with their vision and can’t wait to try their products.
In another networking session I met with Kam and Justin from Common Ground. I met Justin a year ago and I bought his product after one sniff (think Le Labo). Common Thread is introducing a new skin line that is going to be incredible.
On the LMCC panel “Beauty from the Inside Out”, Bobbi Brown reminded us, beauty comes from within. She said, “Your beauty is because you are healthy.” And PMP couldn’t agree more! The makeup enhances what we present to the world, but how we feel about ourselves from the inside out is what makes us beautiful. Frederic Fekkai agreed sharing healthy shiny hair does not grow out of a tight scalp on someone who is stressed out! And during a global pandemic, it’s more important than ever to care for our wellness from the inside out.
After two days of incredible speakers, panel discussions, and product demos, we were blown away by the companies and the trailblazers behind the brands. CBD can be used in so many ways, and the beauty industry’s focus is to deliver the calming and anti-inflammatory benefits of cannabis into your daily wellness routine.
Thanks again to our friends at Love+Hemp for giving us the opportunity to be involved with LMCC. We were inspired and encouraged to learn the stories of so many luxury brands in the cannabis space, and look forward to sharing more news about CBD-infused beauty products.
