Does Your Government Official Use Cannabis?

When Virginia’s Governor Ralph Northam (D) was asked if he had smoked cannabis after legalization he replied, “No, I haven’t,” and Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont (D) said last month that “time will tell” when asked by a reporter if people can “expect to see the governor smoking a joint” after legalization goes into effect in the state. (Read more in Marijuana Moment.) Those comments don’t sound like a hard no to me!

On July 14th, Democratic Senators released a draft of a bill that would decriminalize cannabis nationwide. This tool gets the conversation moving, and Congress is seeking public input on the draft through September.
