Bicycle Day Film Screening
By: Gina Vensel
Tuesday, April 19th
Happy Bicycle Day! Psychonauts everywhere celebrate this holiday that commemorates the first time that chemist Albert Hofmann tripped intentionally after accidentally discovering LSD a few days prior.
PMP is celebrating by hosting the Pittsburgh premiere of Psychedelia: The History and Science of Mystical Experience at the Row House Cinema. A few seats are still available so get yours ahead of time by visiting this link.
Our mission at PMP is to raise awareness about cannabis and psychedelics through education. We believe the only way that we can end the stigma is through understanding. Psychedelics are a powerful tool for healing and it's important to learn about their history.
It was fantastic to see Psychedelia featured in Pittsburgh City Paper! The filmmaker Pat Murphy was interviewed and you can learn more about the film by visiting the article here. Special thanks to NEXTpittsburgh for including our premiere as a top event for the week! We love seeing psychedelics in the headlines.
We'll have even more film screenings and activism-related events coming soon, so please keep posted to The Vine and follow us on social media for the latest updates.
“Through my LSD experience and my new picture of reality, I became aware of the wonder of creation, the magnificence of nature, and of the animal and plant kingdom. I became very sensitive to what will happen to all this and all of us.” - Albert Hofmann.
